Gary Darman, Partner Mr. Darman has decades of real estate experience with a large portfolio of properties in joint ventures with several of the Northeast’s leading real estate firms. These partnerships own millions of square feet of office, retail and multi-family properties. Mr. Darman previously served on the Board of Directors of the Mirage Resorts, Inc., a leading hotel and casino company.

Donald S. Smith, Partner Mr. Smith has run real estate development companies active in the retail, office, industrial and residential markets for over 25 years. Mr. Smith previously worked in management consulting and investment banking after earning a BA in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.

Robert Rechner, Director of Retail Development Mr. Rechner is responsible for Saxon’s retail development and leasing activities. He has over 40 years experience in commercial real estate investment, leasing and management. Mr. Rechner began his career with R.M. Bradley & Co. and then spent over 20 years with Net Properties Management (later “Heritage”), which operated a large portfolio of office buildings and shopping centers.

Tom Greco, Director of Multifamily Development Mr. Greco is a director for Saxon’s new multifamily development program. Prior to joining Saxon, Mr. Greco spent 10 years at GID Investment Advisers where he oversaw the investor relationship and strategic direction for the firm’s $2.2 billion fund comprised of over 5,600 units of multifamily developments. Mr. Greco holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA in Finance from Emory University.

Gary Warfel, Director of Multifamily Development Mr. Warfel is a director for Saxon’s new multifamily development program. Mr. Warfel began his career in building automation systems at The Trane Company before becoming involved in a wide range of real estate developments with Eastdil Realty, Capital Diligence Group, and Wasserman Real Estate Capital before founding Vennequity, a real estate consulting firm. Mr. Warfel holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Bradley University and a Masters in Real Estate from New York University.

Brian Leahy, Director of Acquisitions Mr. Leahy is responsible for Saxon’s acquisition and permitting of commercial development properties. Prior to joining Saxon, Mr. Leahy held leading real estate positions with Konover Development Corp., Home Depot, Shaws Supermarket and Trammel Crow. Mr. Leahy holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts.

Scott Haley, Director of Construction Mr. Haley is responsible for the company’s construction and property management activities. He has over twenty years of experience in the planning, construction, and development of retail sites across the northeast region with Ahold USA (formerly Stop & Shop). Mr. Haley holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Cliff Rahaim, Controller Mr. Rahaim is responsible for Saxon’s financing and accounting activities. Prior to joining Saxon, Mr. Rahaim was with AEW Capital Management, a leading real estate investment advisor, and The Hamilton Company, one of Boston’s largest property management firms. Mr. Rahaim holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Massachusetts School of Management.

David L. Arons, General Counsel Mr. Arons is responsible for providing in-house legal counsel to Saxon and its affiliates for residential and commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, permitting, financing and dispositions. He has over thirty years of experience as an attorney in Massachusetts, including representation in a broad scope of matters before the Land Court, Superior Court, Probate Court, municipal boards and offices, and state agencies. Mr. Arons earned a B.A. at Brandeis University and a J.D. at Boston College Law School.

Jack Leffel, Analyst Mr. Leffel is responsible for identifying and researching target markets across the country, including site selection and market analysis activities. Mr. Leffel and holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The College of Charleston.

Keriann DeMoranville, Development Administrator Mrs. DeMoranville is responsible for Saxon’s development, construction and property management administrative activities. Prior to joining Saxon, Mrs. DeMoranville worked as an International Cash flow Analyst at Putnam Investments and as an Accountant Centric Representative for ADP. She holds a BS in Management Science with a concentration in Human Resources from Bridgewater State University.

Leanne Silvia, Accounting Ms. Silvia is responsible for Saxon’s accounting, human resources and administrative activities. Prior to joining Saxon, Ms. Silvia worked as a staff accountant at Abstrax LLC a title examination company. She holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.

Deborah Keating, Marketing Ms. Keating is responsible for Saxon’s advertising and marketing programs and also serves as tenant liaison, assisting retailers with their local marketing efforts. She has been in the shopping center marketing business for over 20 years and previously worked for DeBartolo, Simon Property Group and New England Development. Ms. Keating has also served on the Board of Directors for Destination Plymouth and Jordan Hospital’s Philanthropy Department. She holds a BS from California State University.
